Rest In Pieces
I think it would be so sweet to have “Rest in Pieces” engraved on my tombstone. People would read it and say, “LOL, OMG. Like we haven’t heard that one before!” And maybe they’re right. Maybe they have heard that play-on-words before. And I would imagine that they are picturing me chopped up into little bits in my coffin either because I was murdered by a mad helicopter pilot flying upside-down and dangerously low to the ground –or– my wife had to fit me in an economically friendly coffin that was chosen without considering my size (which would have been my fault because I didn’t leave the wife any money because she would have spent it all on Cadbury Eggs and Diet Coke). You all would be wrong in your wild imaginations, though. The pieces would be referring to the ergonomic bed of Reeses Pieces in which I would be resting.
And that is why it would be so sweet.
